Andre van Aswegen
André obtained his B Proc degree during 1990 at the PU for CHE / Pukke (now North West University) and obtained his right of appearance in the High Court in 2013. On 26 April 1994 he was admitted as an Attorney of the Supreme Court of South Africa. He further obtained a Diploma in Labour Law, a Diploma in Insolvency Law, H Dip Tax, Medical Negligence and Sports Law.
André received his degree of Master of Laws in International Commercial Law at the University of Salford on 19 April 2019.
André is a member of the disciplinary committee of the North West Legal Practice Council and also serves as a Commissioner for Small Claims.
In over 24 years of professional experience practicing law, André has appeared at all levels of the South African Court system. André is well known among his colleagues for his relentless dedication to this profession which makes him one of very few attorneys who single handedly can be called a specialist in various fields.
Sone Kellerman van Dyk
Soné obtained her LLB degree on 29 March 2006 at the North West University. Soné was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court on 21 April 2008. Further hereto she was also admitted as Conveyancer on 1 October 2012.
Soné started to practice as an attorney during 2008. During 2009 Soné completed her training as an aspirant Prosecutor at the National Prosecuting Authority of South Africa. Soné joined Theron Jordaan & Smit Inc during December 2013 and her experience includes various fields.

Chamoné obtained her LLB degree in 2018 at the North West University
and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court on 30 April 2021.
Chamoné joined our team during 2023, contributing to the continuous success of our litigation department.
Chamoné is an experienced attorney in civil law with an exceptional drive to be successful.
Candidate Attorneys
TAMEEZ MOOLLA
Tameez matriculated from AL-Huda Muslim School in 2007, whereafter he obtained his BCom Law at the North West University in 2013.
Tameez joined TJS during 2021 and obtained his LLB degree in 2023, whereafter he commenced with his articles.
Tameez has the capability and experience to function independently and has excellent drafting and communication skills, with a moral compass guiding him in all legal matters.
Tameez’s motto in life is that no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. Tameez enjoys cycling and is an avid sports fan.
JOHANNES DANIEL PAULSEN
JD matriculated from Wolmaransstad High School in 2016, where after JD obtained his BCom Law and LLB degrees at the North West University.
JD commenced with his articles during 2022 in Gauteng.
JD is a dynamic candidate attorney, who joined TJS during January 2024. He is eager to gain experience in different fields of the law.
Notwithstanding his exceptional interest in Litigation and understanding of the law, JD also enjoys cycling, fishing and hiking.
JD’s favorite quote is: “What we do now, echoes in eternity”, which reminds him that everything he does each day, no matter how insignificant, has the possibility to change the world.
